Ollantaytambo is a semi-large site with interesting views of the Sacred Valley.
In this picture you can see at the right some of the typical steep terraces found at many Incan cities.
Ollantaytambo was a fortress where the Conquistadors lost a major battle; one of the few they lost.
Not only was Ollantaytambo used as a fortress, it was also used as a temple for worship.
